Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE:BFB)(NYSE:BFA) announced today the
appointment of Lawson Whiting as managing director, Western Europe,
based in London, effective May 1, 2011.
Whiting brings a broad range of experience to this important position,
most recently serving as director of finance for Western Europe. Whiting
joined Brown-Forman in 1997 as an analyst in Corporate Development. He
subsequently served as director of Investor Relations, director of
finance for wines, director of global business strategy for the Jack
Daniel’s Family of Brands, director of global brands strategy and
analysis, and director of finance for the North America Region.

Daniel’s business, the North America region, and currently the Western
Europe region equips him well for this new business leadership role,”
said Mark McCallum, executive vice president and chief operating officer

Whiting earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University and his MBA
from the University of Chicago.
